Artwalk Registration

We are excited to announce that the Nanaimo Arts Council will be operating the Nanaimo Artwalk in 2024, on November 30th and December 1st. Each year, thirty to fifty artists display their art in locations throughout downtown Nanaimo, including private studios and local businesses. 2024 will be the 26th anniversary of the festival.

As in the past, artists must arrange their own venues, whether that be in a business, an empty storefront, or their studio. Likewise, businesses that are interested in participating in Artwalk must acquire their own artist. An exception to this is our newer venues, St. Andrews United Church and The Conservatory, which have more spaces available. However, we encourage artists to find their own venues before inquiring to us about these larger spaces.

The Nanaimo Artwalk is geographically limited to the downtown area, following Terminal Ave to Nicol St., branching on Victoria Rd., Albert St., Fitzwilliam St. and into the Old City Quarter. You can view a map of this area here (outlined in grey).

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Artwalk Program Coordinator Jenaya Shaw here by email.
