Islands Short Fiction Review 2026
“You can make anything by writing.”
– C.S. Lewis
The Islands Short Fiction Review (ISFR) encourages the development of creative writing skills and recognizes young authors with a certificate of achievement for their portfolio. It is unique in welcoming writers of all ages.
The Arts Council will publish the winning entries in each age category in the Sea Wolf Literary Review. This annual magazine is registered with Library and Archives Canada and distributed by the Vancouver Island Regional Library and various private bookstores. It is a free publication.
ISFR is made possible by the generous support of the Government of British Columbia, the City of Nanaimo, the Vancouver Island Regional Library and Arts Council members and donors.
The registration form will be available from February 8 to March 8.
