Karen Sim is a Nanaimo-based fantasy creature artist and illustrator, and the creator behind the original character “Oliver the squonk”. She specializes in traditional dry media, including graphite and coloured pencil, as well as some digital. Karen’s focus is on storytelling, and creating empathy through creative creature and monster design.
