2-D ART AT THE PORT THEATRE

• Entrants must register by April 18, 2026 at https://nanaimoartscouncil.ca/programs/art-around-town
• Due to space limitations, we limit the entries to the first 25 registrants, one piece per artist.
• The work is juried based on the photo submitted with the registration.
• NAC will notify entrants by email that their work is accepted.
• This exhibit is limited to 2-D works, with the longest outside dimension being NO MORE THAN 36 inches.
• All work must be hanging ready, appropriately framed, or finished with braided-wire hangers, and the artist’s name, medium, title, and price must be firmly affixed to the back of the art.
• Work must be for sale. NAC’s commission is 30%. Packaging and shipping are the artist’s responsibility.
• Accepted entrants must bring their art to the Port Theatre on April 22, 2026 at 10:00 am for hanging. Art will be displayed for approximately 3 months.

3-D ART AT THE PORT THEATRE

The Port Theatre has three plinths that are available to showcase 3-D art. The plinth's display area inside its cover is 13.5" L x 13.5" W x 20" H.

3-D artists are asked to send a photograph of your 3-D piece to the Art Around Town organizer, John Collison-Baker, at john@nanaimoartscouncil.ca. You will be notified if your piece is chosen for display. Entrants must register before April 18, 2026.  Accepted entrants must bring their art to the Port Theatre at 10:00 am on April 22, 2026 for display.  Art will be displayed for approximately 3 months.
