Home / BC ARTS COUNCIL GRANT HELPS NANAIMO ARTS COUNCIL BREATHE EASIER DURING COVID-19

With a supplemental resiliency grant from the BC Arts Council, the Nanaimo Arts Council (NAC) can now explore new online options for exhibitions and classes. With festival cancellation and the closing of the Port Theatre and other art venues around town, it has been a rough time for the arts in Nanaimo. NAC is grateful for this economic boost and plans to use the funds to revamp some of its programs and expand others into the virtual world. There is some new innovative programming in the works, so stay tuned by becoming a member and sign up to have our newsletter delivered directly to your inbox. Don’t forget that membership comes with perks such as a 10% discount at Iron Oxide, opportunities to propose your own artsy ideas, and the ability to show off your talents in NAC-organized exhibitions and performances.
