Morning Blues, Vancouver Island

Living on the island, there are mornings in the winter when we wonder if planes will go, if the fog will lift, if the sun will pierce through layers of clouds… such mornings are visual feasts in terms of the play of light. I watch from my kitchen window as the land starts to appear in patches, somewhere between sea and sky.
